Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

RadPigeon keeps a small data footprint. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what control you have. It is a summary of our practices, not legal advice.

The weekly digest

If you subscribe to the weekly email digest, we store your email address and whether you have confirmed it. Signing up uses double opt-in: we send a confirmation link to your address, and you only start receiving the digest after you click it. Emails are delivered through Resend, our email provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email — unsubscribing deletes your address from our records. We do not use your email for anything other than the digest, and we never sell or share subscriber lists.

The contact form

When you send a message through the contact form, your name, email address, and message are relayed to a private inbox so we can read and reply. Your message is not published, and your email is used only to respond to you.

Storage on your device

Most of what personalises RadPigeon lives in your own browser, not on our servers:

  • Saved stories— your reading list is kept in your browser’s local storage.
  • Theme— your light/dark choice is remembered in local storage.
  • Onboarding state— whether you have seen the welcome and finished the tour is kept in local storage, along with your last-visit time so we can say “welcome back.”
  • Filters— your category filter choices are stored in a first-party cookie so the server can render an already-filtered feed. The cookie holds only your filter selections; it contains no name or identifier.

You can clear any of this at any time by clearing site data for RadPigeon in your browser.

Server logs and abuse prevention

Like most websites, our servers process standard request information, and we rate-limit the subscribe and contact forms by IP address to prevent abuse. We do not use this information to build profiles of visitors.

No third-party tracking

RadPigeon uses no third-party advertising or analytics trackers. We do not embed tracking pixels or sell data to advertisers. The site is hosted on Railway, and email is sent through Resend; these providers process data only to run the service.

Who is responsible

RadPigeon is a small independent project and is the data controller for the information described here. To ask about your data, request deletion, or raise a concern, use the contact form on the About page. For subscriber data, unsubscribing from any email removes your address immediately.

Changes

We may update this policy as RadPigeon evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
