Virtual reality mammography training improves radiography student test scores and confidence
Radiography (London, England : 1995)yesterday
Post-training mammography test scores rose from 17.64 to 75.73 (p=0.001) among 62 radiography students after VR training; simulation design and satisfaction/self-confidence scores were high.
- In this 62-student cross-sectional group, female students scored higher on the post-training Mammography Assessment Test than male students (77.80 ± 7.58 vs 68.66 ± 8.37, p = 0.011).
- Simulation Design Scale (85.00 ± 7.51) and Student Satisfaction/Self-Confidence in Learning Scale (51.50 ± 4.56) were high and showed a significant positive correlation.
- Students mostly preferred face-to-face learning but reported that VR helped reduce anxiety and support skill development.
