CCTA-based CAD-RADS and ΔFFRCT improve cardiac risk prediction before liver transplant

American journal of transplantation : official journal of the American Society of Transplantation and the American Society of Transplant Surgeons2d ago

Adding coronary CTA-based CAD-RADS score and CT-derived fractional flow reserve gradient (ΔFFRCT) to the CAR-OLT score improved prediction of 1-year major adverse cardiac events after liver transplantation (AUC 0.793 vs. 0.668, P=0.044) in a dual-center study of 395 recipients.

  • In a dual-center cohort of 395 liver transplant recipients, CAD-RADS score (OR 3.15, P=0.020) and ΔFFRCT (OR 2.23, P=0.001) were independent CCTA-based predictors of 1-year MACE after transplant.
  • The Combined model (Imaging model + CAR-OLT score) also showed a higher C-index than CAR-OLT alone for predicting overall MACE after transplant (0.766 vs. 0.659, P<0.001).
