Prompt Complexity Does Not Impact AI Accuracy in Organic Chemistry Education
Radiology education & curriculum (PubMed)Jan 1
AI systems ChatGPT 5 and GPT IQQO showed similar conceptual adequacy (92.8% vs 93.1%) in organic chemistry tasks, regardless of prompt complexity. User competence matters more than architecture. Orbital interactions was the weakest category (88% adequacy).
- Content analysis of 494 coded segments from two AI systems responding to organic chemistry prompts (Cannizzaro reaction, guanidine group).
- Performance was comparable across prompt complexity levels; the most vulnerable conceptual area was orbital interactions (88.0% adequacy).
- Limitation: Single-domain study in organic chemistry, not validated in radiology or medical education contexts.
