Three EOB-MRI features predict complete response to TACE in HCC >2 cm

Retrospective study: combined model of tumor diameter, irregular border, and enhancing capsule on pretreatment EOB-MRI predicted complete response after TACE in HCC >2 cm (AUC 0.72, 95% CI 0.65–0.79).

• Retrospective single-center study of 167 patients with HCC >2 cm undergoing initial TACE; 36.5% achieved complete response.
• Combined model outperformed individual predictors: diameter AUC 0.66, irregular border AUC 0.62, enhancing capsule AUC 0.57.
• Limitations: retrospective design, no external validation, single-center, and limited to HCC >2 cm.
