Dynamic quantitative collateral index from 4D-CTA predicts early neurological recovery in anterior circulation LVO
Radiology AI literature (PubMed)3w ago
In a retrospective study, a dynamic quantitative collateral index (TCI) from 4D-CTA predicted early neurological recovery (AUC = 0.858) in anterior circulation LVO, outperforming the Tan visual score (AUC = 0.810, p = 0.012) and equating to the expert multiphase Menon score.
- Retrospective analysis of 94 patients with acute anterior circulation large vessel occlusion.
- TCI inversely correlated with infarct core volume (ρ = -0.85) and a TCI-integrated nomogram showed excellent calibration and net benefit.
- Single-center, retrospective design without external validation; small sample size limits generalizability.
